The Law of the Jungle (Part Five)

Henry moved quickly, almost too quickly, and next thing Blake knew he had a very persistent Henry Kadison looking down at him, holding on to his arm, so Blake couldn’t escape, and from the fierce look in his eyes, Henry showed no signs of relenting.
“Blake, you’re right, I don’t know what I want. I don’t know…because I didn’t expect this. I didn’t expect to meet you tonight. I didn’t expect you to show an interest in me. I’m just some farmer’s kid from Milton, Nebraska. But I do know I want you. I just…” Henry broke off, ducked his head, blushing.
Blake was stunned and astonished. Before Henry had turned away, he’d seen the sincerity in his eyes. Henry wasn’t a tease out looking for a thrill — he was innocent — the blush had given it away.
Pushing aside all his past insecurities and hurts, Blake made a judgment call. When he’d first seen Henry, he’d thought he was something special, and he was going to go with that impression. Forget what his head was screaming, for the first time in years, Blake was going to lead with his heart.
Putting his hand against Henry’s face, Blake brought their faces close together and asked, “What do you want now?”
“I don’t know. Why don’t you show me?” Henry’s voice broke with huskiness.
Blake felt a warm glow flow through him, Henry must have felt it too, as he smiled in response. They gloried briefly in the shared moment, each anticipating the evening’s events.
Then, slowly and seductively, Blake let his gaze linger, riveting on Henry’s face, then moving over his body. Purposefully, Blake took Henry’s hand, brought it to his lips and kissed it.
“Have you ever been with a man, Henry?”
The blush was back. Henry shook his head and said, “Not really. I’ve messed around. There aren’t a lot of chances to experiment in Nebraska, if you catch my meaning. I came to New York to learn about that part of myself.”
The implication that Henry was innocent and pure sent waves of excitement through Blake. Normally he liked his bed partners experienced, but this untouched boy with the body of a god and the soul of an angel stirred something in him he’d long thought dead: hope.
Perhaps Henry was special after all. Blake decide to take a chance.
“That’s okay. We’ll learn what you like together,” his tone patient.
Henry met his gaze head-on, his voice a velvet murmur, “I’d like that, Blake.”
“But, I don’t want your first time to be here, Henry. Say you’ll come back with me to my apartment where I can make love to you in a bed. I want this to be special. Let me make this special for you.” There was a faint tremor in his voice as some long-forgotten emotion had touched him.
Henry didn’t reply, just leaned in and kissed Blake, long and hard.
